There is SO much to look forward to in Infants: cuddles and bubbles, peek-a-boo and patty-cake, fingerpaints  and storytime, experimenting with forks and spoons and sippy cups…

Babies eat, nap, and are diapered according to their own schedule, and we respond to their natural moods, rhythms, and tempos. We give each baby their own special care when it’s time for a diaper change or a snack.

Babies are all about discovering the world. We cheer them on as they sit up, crawl, and take wobbly first steps. We smile, talk, and sing to them, helping them babble and find their baby words. We’ve created a cozy and caring space with a safe routine where they can build strong bonds, explore their senses, and build their self-confidence, ready for toddlerhood and making friends.

toddler 1

There is SO much to look forward to in Toddler One: painting masterpieces, building castles with blocks, science experiments and dancing to music, baking in play kitchens, listening to stories, trying new tastes and practicing table manners, sharing, chatting, and playing with friends.

Young toddlers are constantly on the move, going from doing their own thing to having a group routine that they can count on, which helps them learn about how things work and what to expect. Their vocabularies are exploding and they are steadier on their feet.

We’re all about helping those curious minds and busy hands explore the world of words and friendships.

IN TODDLER ONE, WE LEARN:

  • to accomplish new physical milestones
  • beginning self-help skills and to be a helper
  • to explore creativity in art
  • to practice following rules and routines while developing independence
  • to say thank you and please
  • to begin to use our words to express our feelings
  • to begin to count and basic math concepts
  • to develop citizenship, respect, and helpfulness

There’s SO much to look forward to in Toddler Two: science experiments, kicking balls and balance beams, painting, sing-a-longs and dancing, cooking, storytime, dress-up costumes, and making friends.

Older toddlers are on the road to independence. They are discovering that they have a voice and that it matters—and that they can help themselves when they want. Following a routine-based schedule, children in Toddler Two discover the wonder of numbers and colors, and get the hang of using their words to share ideas and feelings. Circle time happens every day and children become fully engaged as they listen to stories and sing songs.

We encourage the children to play and explore, building their motor skills as they create, climb, and move around; and we help them share toys and take turns. And through stories, art projects, and games, they’re learning to love learning while building a strong academic foundation for preschool.

IN TODDLER TWO, WE LEARN:

  • to accomplish new physical milestones
  • self-help skills and to be a helper
  • to ask questions and be curious about the world around us
  • to explore their creativity in art
  • to practice following rules and routines while developing independence
  • to use table manners and be polite
  • to use their words to express their feelings
  • to count and basic math concepts
  • to develop citizenship, respect, and helpfulness
  • feel happy and safe in our classroom

PRESCHOOL 1

preschool 1

There is SO much to look forward to in preschool: science experiments, sorting colorful objects, cooperative games and group play, fun projects and imaginative stories, dinosaur hunts, engineering plans, and musical parades.

Children in Preschool are using their communication abilities to explore new social situations. They’re expanding their play skills to include their curiosities and interests and are beginning to make literacy connections throughout the classroom. Children continue to develop their self-help skills as well as responsibility for themselves, their friends, and the classroom community.

Our goal is to inspire curiosity, turning questions into discoveries, helping the children learn by doing. We transform numbers into friends and letters into adventures; and foster sharing and teamwork with group play. Every hug, high-five, and “wow, you did it!” boosts the kids’ self-esteem, helping them become confident, independent, enthusiastic learners, ready for pre-kindergarten.

IN PRESCHOOL, WE LEARN:

  • to build social skills
  • to express and regulate their emotions
  • to start to write and make literacy connections
  • to enthusiastically explore scientific investigation
  • to expand their vocabularies
  • counting and math concepts
  • problem-solving techniques
  • self-competence, respect, integrity, leadership and citizenship

prekindergarten

There is SO much to look forward to in prekindergarten: playing games, tasting new foods, cooking projects, practicing rhymes and songs, show-and tell, planting seeds, writing our names, building a fire truck with boxes, staging a play, sorting leaves, practicing sink/float, drawing maps, studying bugs, writing a class book, and painting every day.

Pre-K children have a strong foundation of learning and are ready to build more skills. They are able to participate in group experiences; respond to open-ended questions; make predictions; consistently follow an activity through to completion; care for their own personal needs like toileting, dressing, safety; and navigate the classroom environment independently.

Our prekindergarten classroom is set up for intentional learning: organized and engaging, equipped with fun and purposeful materials that foster independent exploration, play, and socialization. The classroom encourages learning in all areas and is designed to protect children’s health and safety, as well as support their needs for activity, sensory stimulation, outdoor activity, rest, and nourishment.

In prekindergarten, we help children build collaboration and communication skills, creativity, executive function, and critical thinking—the 21st century skills they’ll need to thrive in school and in life.

PREKINDERGARTENERS LEARN TO:

  • engage in abstract thinking and explore more complex ideas
  • find solutions to problems and use their social and communication skills to resolve issues
  • ask open-ended questions and make predictions
  • play cooperatively with each other, and actively participate in group experiences
  • take care of and advocate for themselves
  • take leadership roles in the classroom
  • understand safety and safe behavior
  • prepare for school structure and routines
  • become independent and make good choices
  • develop empathy, responsibility, and self-help skills
  • identify letters and sounds and develop print and book awareness”
