Clothing safety:
For safety, we don’t allow drawstrings, long laces, jewelry, or anything else that could get caught in playground equipment. We want your child to be comfortable and ready for all our fun activities, so please send them in clothes and shoes suitable for active play. Outside play is an important part of our program, and we use the playground daily except for on extreme weather days.
food
Two light, nutritious snacks, and a complete lunch—such as crackers, fruit, pretzels, dry cereal, sliced vegetables, meat, cheese—and a drink, either in a thermos or juice box.
Both the snacks and lunch should be packed together in one lunch bag or box. Please save the sweets for home!
FOOD SAFETY
To prevent choking hazards, food should be diced or shredded into pieces no larger than quarter-inch square (pea-sized) for infants, and half-inch square for toddlers and young preschoolers. Soft fruits should be quartered, and harder fruits and vegetables can be cooked to soften them before dicing or shredding.
DICE, SHRED, OR COOK + CUT UP
- veggies like carrots, celery, and green beans
- fruits like grapes, cherry tomatoes, and melon balls, apples, and harder fruits
- meats and cheeses, especially hot dogs
WE ARE NUT FREE!
nap time

We will keep nap linens in the classroom for the week and send them home at the end of your child’s week.
