My career as a caregiver began at Old Colony YMCA in Stoughton and Brockton. There I was able to indulge in every classroom and age group as a floating assistant teacher. I am currently finishing my associate’s degree at Massasoit Community College, majoring in both early childhood education and nursing, after which I will transfer to UMass Boston for a double bachelor’s degree.
What I love most about working with young children is their pure joy and enthusiasm; they remind me of the importance of seeing the world through a fresh and open lens. Every day is a chance to create positive memories and support them as they develop into their own unique selves. The best self I bring to the classroom is patience, empathy, and adaptability. Children thrive on consistency and support, so being calm, attentive, and responsive to their needs is essential. I see myself as each parent’s partner in their child’s growth—not only providing care, but fostering early learning, social skills, and emotional health.
In my free time, I enjoy reading self-improvement books to help grow personally and professionally. I coach the Randolph High School cheerleading team, which is a rewarding experience where I can inspire and guide young athletes. In the future I plan on traveling after I graduate, and I have hopes of opening my own daycare.
