Lauren Pettus

I have been working in childcare since 2006, first as an assistant teacher and later as lead teacher at KinderCare. I have an associates degree in early childhood education from Middlesex Community College, and received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University in 2019. Hopefully I can continue to expand my knowledge of early childhood education even more in the future. In the classroom, I strive to make sure everyone is included and everyone is heard. I try to build each child’s confidence, self-esteem, and can-do attitude—all with a healthy dose of silliness! Every day is different, and I love knowing I can make a difference in a child’s life, especially when they reach a milestone they have been working to achieve. Whether it’s crawling or writing their name, it’s amazing seeing their sense of pride in their accomplishments. I live in Acton with my husband, son, and our cat. I love to travel, and to spend as much time with my family as I can.
