I initially studied comedy and script writing at Hampshire College, and then fell in love with my work-study job teaching preschoolers, and switched to early childhood education. I’m planning to receive my lead teacher certification, with a focus in early intervention. I was a nanny before becoming a teacher in 2020; since then, I’ve taught in music and culture based classrooms, a nature classroom that was located in the woods of Wellesley, and a more standard ECE program in Boston.
I really love to watch children’s self confidence grow over time, as well as observe traits and friendships that have seemed nearly innate since they began in the program. I like to lead with a lot of silly energy. I think there are few issues throughout the day that cannot be solved with a quick reset and a laugh—or an open conversation about how something made us feel!
I live in Worcester with my friends. I love to watch movies, go for long walks and hikes, create weird art, and hang out with friends and family. I see myself teaching (or focusing on early intervention) for a long time—it brings me great joy!
