I’ve wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I created my own neighborhood day camp from my parents’ porch and backyard, and later became a camp counselor and tutor before continuing my education in elementary and early childhood education. Today, I’m completing my degree while continuing to pursue the career I’ve always loved.
What inspires me most about working with young children is the extraordinary growth that happens during their earliest years. Every child brings something unique to the classroom, and I love building trusting relationships that help children feel safe enough to explore, learn, and let their personalities shine. Watching each child grow in confidence and discover their strengths is one of the greatest rewards I can imagine.
I’m a creative person at heart and enjoy bringing music, arts and crafts, and hands-on experiences into the classroom. I believe every child is an artist, and I love using creativity as a way to spark learning and self-expression. My studies in educational psychology, experience supporting children with special needs, and work alongside early intervention specialists have given me an even deeper appreciation for meeting every child where they are.
Outside the classroom, I’m happiest spending time with my young daughter, my large extended family, and my seven nieces and two nephews. I also enjoy music, stand-up comedy, and making memories with the people I love. I’m looking forward to completing my degree next year and beginning this exciting new chapter at First Circle.
