ASTHMA ACTION PLAN For any child with a history of asthma, we must have on file an Asthma Action Plan, in conjunction with a Special Care Plan. The Asthma Action Plan specifies any known or suspected asthma triggers, any environmental control measures, pre-medications, and/or dietary restrictions that the child needs to prevent triggering an asthma episode, symptom management, and any medication that may be needed. The form must be filled out completely and signed by the child’s healthcare provider. All educators in a classroom with a child with asthma will receive appropriate training to handle emergency asthma episodes.
TREATMENT In the event of an allergic reaction, we will adhere to the following procedures:
