MILD ILLNESS

If your child becomes ill, we will contact you immediately. If your child is mildly ill with no fever, seems unusually irritable, lethargic, or generally “not themselves,” but shows no other symptoms, we will notify you and a joint decision will be made about whether your child should remain at First Circle. If they can participate in the daily program, including outside time, they may remain in school.

If the child’s condition worsens or symptoms of contagious illness appear [see Infectious Disease below], or if the child cannot be cared for by the classroom staff, the teacher will contact you to make arrangements to pick up your child. You must pick up your child as quickly as possible or within one hour after being notified. If you cannot be reached, we will contact your designated emergency contact(s) to pick up your child.
