Entering kindergarten is one of the biggest transitions of a young child’s life. Pre-kindergarten teachers prepare children for the transition to kindergarten through curriculum, social interactions, and routines based on Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Most schools begin kindergarten enrollment in January, with spring orientations and visits for families. Schools may request teacher-completed forms to assess readiness and share insights on learning style and social development.
Our goal is to have them not only ready for kindergarten academically, socially, emotionally, and physically, but also to encourage their enthusiasm, interest, and comfort level for the experience ahead.
