I have been working in this field since 1998. I graduated from Boston College with a BA in sociology and a concentration in human resources management.

Prior to joining First Circle, my background was mostly in large corporate settings. When I saw that First Circle was seeking an HR professional to join the team, I was intrigued for a couple reasons. First, I loved that a small, family-operated company was so committed to their staff and saw the added value HR could bring to the team. Second, I was super impressed with the MyCharacter curriculum and the commitment to build good citizenship and foster empathy in young children. It’s exactly where I would want my son to go, if he were only that little! I knew this was a company I would be proud to work for!

As the director of HR, I get the chance to play a pivotal role in ensuring that both our teachers and administrative team are having a positive work experience each and every day. Our teachers and site administrators pour themselves into the children in their care—all day, every day. I have the privilege of pouring back into them by providing an empathetic “ear” whenever needed, exploring new and/or enhanced benefit options, developing programs and opportunities for professional and personal growth and making sure that our commitment to being the best place to work for an early education professional never waivers.

I live in a suburb north of Boston with my husband, Chris, and son, Ben. Chris and I are about to be “empty nesters” as Ben will be heading off to college in September! I am an avid collector of vintage children’s books and love visiting used bookstores looking for my next treasure! I also love watching old black and white movies and reading psychological thrillers.
