I have an A.S. in early childhood education from Quincy College and a B.A. from Southern New Hampshire University in general studies, with a concentration in human services and social work. I am always interested in taking classes and trainings for my professional development. I am particularly interested in supporting diverse learners in the classroom as well as additional coaching trainings on teachers in their own professional development.

I have been an early childhood educator since 2005, as a preschool lead teacher, a lead toddler teacher, and I worked as an ABA specialist, supporting children who are on the spectrum. Since 2016, I have worked for an Early Head Start Program, holding several roles there from home visiting/parent education to overseeing a family childcare system; and coaching family child educators on best practices and state regulations. More recently, I was also working in recruiting, community outreach, family support and engagement, and working with community partners to expand and collaborate services for children and families living in the Brockton area.

I have had a lot of varied roles in my career, which really helps me see things with a different perspective. I can see many sides to a situation and I believe that helps me problem solve and support others with compassion and kindness. My experiences have shown me the value of teamwork and the importance of it in regard to having a successful program.

For as far back as I can remember, I wanted to be a preschool teacher. I love watching young children learn about the world around them. Their natural curiosity has taught me to look at things from their perspective well. I love to see their sense of pride after building a tower or painting a picture. Plus, children can be hilariously funny and working with them is never the same day twice!

I am here to support our parents and their children. I believe strongly that they are their child’s first teacher and the expert on their child. I believe in having strong partnerships with families and I consider my work with children and their families my privilege to be able to do. I am also a good listener!

I grew up in South Weymouth. I live in Stoughton, with my husband Mike and two daughters, Marissa and Annie. For fun, I love to spend time with my husband, daughters, and extended family. And I love to shop and am always on the look out for a good bargain!
